A Message from Werner Weiss

Please read Kevin Yee’s MiceAge article, Give Kids The World. It’s a terrific article in which Kevin describes and shows pictures of his visit to Give Kids The World Village.

If you’re not familiar with Give Kids The World Village, here’s the brief official description:

Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is a 70-acre, non-profit resort in Central Florida that creates magical memories for children with life- threatening illnesses and their families. GKTW provides accommodations at its whimsical resort, donated attractions tickets, meals and more for a week-long, cost-free fantasy vacation. With the help of many generous individuals, corporations and partnering wish-granting organizations, Give Kids The World has welcomed more than 75,000 families from all 50 states and over 50 countries. For more information, or if you would like to be part of the miracles, please visit www.gktw.org.

I realize that you’re probably asked to donate to a hundred worthwhile organizations each week. But please read on...

If you’re reading this website, you’re undoubtedly aware of the happiness that families experience at Disney theme parks and other Central Florida attractions. This is an opportunity to help bring that happiness to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families—who could really use some happiness in their lives.

Kevin Yee set up the “Disney Online Community” fundraising drive. “Disney Online Community” refers to the online users who visit MiceAge, MiceChat, Yesterland, and other Disney-oriented sites and blogs.

The drive will end September 1, 2007. The ambitious goal is $25,000. Kevin’s article explains the thinking behind the goal. Please help the drive achieve this goal. Click on the “Donate Now” button to donate (in any amount) or just to learn more.
